Big Wings is a chicken wing brand offering its products across the UK at a variety of events. They needed to make a statement at events and festivals around the UK and target a younger demographic who are socially active online. Find out what I did below...
With no branding at all and no clear direction of where Big Wings wanted to position itself in the Chicken Wing and Food Industry, we needed to help them understand where they wanted to be within the market, and help target their ideal target audience - all while standing out against the crowd and of course their competitors. I needed to create a brand that would be "Instagram worthy', something to talk about, and would be thumb-stopping across social media and ads.
Before I started on the design process I held a kick-off meeting and discussed where Big Wings wanted themselves to be positioned within the Food Industry. I discovered that they would be selling their products at events and festivals across the UK. It was imperative that the branding would target a younger audience who were socially active online. From this, I decided to create something quirky, fun, and exciting.
I illustrated a range of icons that complimented the font and logo to keep all brand assets tied together. Then I rolled this out across social media templates, highlights, and of course, printed collateral that would target the ideal audience in person at the events and festivals Big Wings would be at.
Overall I designed a successful brand concept for Big Wings which would stand out in person and online and would attract a younger audience.
I feel that thinking outside the box and incorporating quirky and fun illustrations makes the branding so much stronger than just a logo.
The branding was rolled out across signage, food packaging, and trayliners.
